This toy guitar has an optical theremin installed where the on-board speaker used to be beneath the red perforated plastic in the center. The buttons compete with the theremin for signal so that there is a lot of button mashing and knob twiddling involved in making totally random noises. The voice of this theremin is more like an Atari Punk Console tone and not the "singing" tone of most theremins. Runs on a 9v battery which is installed on the back. The 9v on the front only powers the theremin. Requires 1/8" headphone/aux out.
